Term 3 Hospitality & Food Technology

Our Food Technology and Hospitality students have shown fantastic creativity, teamwork, and responsibility in the kitchen this term.

Juniors & Middle School

Juniors and Middle School students have been engaged in the HETTANZ Burger Competition, showing great problem-solving and collaboration as they designed and cooked their own burgers. The final round will take place next term, and our winners will proudly represent us in the national event in November.

Year 11

Year 11 students have been focused on preparing a variety of egg and cheese dishes, building both skill and confidence. Alongside them, Year 11 and Year 13 students have been making the most of our new ovens, producing some outstanding baking.

Daffodil Day

A real highlight was our Year 13 students showing kindness and community spirit by baking and decorating cupcakes for Daffodil Day, supporting the Cancer Society’s local bake sale.

Our Year 13

Our Year 13 students also showed wonderful Manaakitanga when they hosted the visiting Edogawa students, preparing and sharing delicious sweet and savoury frybreads. It was a great example of hospitality in action and a chance to celebrate cultural connections through food.

It has been a busy and successful term—well done to all students for demonstrating respect, excellence, and teamwork in the kitchen!

Ka pai to all our Food Tech learners—your creativity and commitment are shining through every dish!
